I hurry into the bus and take my seat in the back when I suddenly notice my friends from my townhouse complex sit down 5 seats in front of me.
I get a little excited and I ponder for a moment.
After some careful thinking, I decide to conduct a little experiment on one of my friends.
I grab my cellphone and start dialing my brother's number.
"Hello?"
"Hey, what's ____'s number?"
"Let me check my contacts...it's ***-***-****".
"Alright, thanks."
I hang up and start dialing the number of the friend sitting 5 seats in front of me.
I watch and giggle to myself as he looks around his seat for his cellphone.
After 4-5 rings, he finds his cell and answers, "Hello?"
"Hey, it's Arman, where are you?"
( And the experiment begins ).
He looks out the side of the bus, and he answers, "Oh, I'm at home, chilling."
I answer, "Oh really? You lying?"
He responds, "No."
I answer, "Oh, heh, I'm right behind you."
"What?"
"I'm right behind you."
He turns his head, and meets my gaze in shock and we start laughing.
I end the call with a, "Nice try."
After this little experiment, I begin to wonder why people lie for no reason?
Obviously, he's on the bus, it's not really a security issue, right? I'm obviously not a spy, I'm his friend. So what's the big deal?

Several things
1) Your page sucks... my bandwidth away. 56k-4-ever.
2) Maybe the dude (or chick) was going home anyway. Maybe he was going to rendezvous with his drug dealer and didn't want anyone to know. Maybe he just thinks you're too much of a dork to know the truth.
Harsh criticism everywhere! =(
Stop being such a dork, Xin
