I was at the park near my home today.

I was juggling the soccer ball, and I saw a boy come up to me.

He asked me if I was in a soccer league.

I replied with a shake of the head, "No."

He told me that if I wanted to play, I should go ask the coach over at the edge of the park, where a group of people were standing.

I noticed all of them were of African-american descent.

I felt like the minority walking towards them. The boy yelled out "Sam! This guy wants to play"

I asked, "Do you have a form? Registration form?"

They eyed me down for a second.

I was then asked questions about my soccer history. Where I played, the skill level I played in, and my age.

I gave them my name and phone number and they said they will call me next thursday where I can show up for practice.

I might not be able to make practice since I get home at around 7:30pm. Today was an exception because I got a ride to 22nd st. station.

In other news, I'm helping to organize a paintball event for the company. It will be on May 22nd at North Vancouver. If anyone is interested in playing, let me know =D
