The Hamilton area didn't have any electric power this morning.

I noticed something was wrong when my cellphone wouldn't charge when connected to the outlet.

My dad was making jokes and saying that the electrical engineers were out on holidays and that they wouldn't be back until Monday.

I'm not that gullible dad!

My whole family thought showering would be a bad idea, for they had this thought that hot water wouldn't exist without electricity. Boy, were they wrong! It's gas people, gas! From pipes!

I pretended that it was cold in the shower to test out my poor acting skills, however, they bought it. After the act, they were too scared to get into the cold water. Oh yeah, and battery powered shavers are awesome during blackouts.

I was just really bored at home today. So, I'm currently at Aberdeen Centre typing this up.

One more thing, I thought it was cool that they played a little bit of Jay Chou - Long Quan during the Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament at the Beijing Olympics.

What wasn't cool was the American announcer repeating the Chinese announcer's mandarin. That ruined the whole experience.
