http://www.Hugtheblock.com is now live.
The client wanted to move away from the glassy/modern look and move to a black/white high contrast look to emphasize the products rather than the aesthetic design.
I agreed somewhat, but I still love my first design ;)
To Do:
- complete the flash header (currently a still image)
- figure out the categories on the menu items
- fix the "Page 1 2 3 | View all" section
- Disable checkout
- Complete the Item page (not enough functionality in terms of product screenshot viewing)
My first e-commerce store is almost done. I'm so happy to be close to the finish line on this one.
-------------------------
There is currently a media device that I've been trying to know as much of as possible. The Samsung YP-P3. Why this one in particular?
"The ability to play flash .swf files"
Yep. It can play flash. It has support for flash widgets. I'm thinking of using this device as my own personal organizer, but I'll be programming the UI for my own flash calendar myself.. And maybe even make a nice flash map of UBC. Why not eh? And make nice James Bond sound effects.
"Hello, James."
It can also attach to your phone via Bluetooth. So while listening to your music, you can talk through the device instead of picking up your phone.
What I'm wondering is if I can somehow use Flash/Bluetooth to connect to my phone and grab any sort of data instead of just using it as an external phone.
I'm still on the fence on this one. We'll see what happens when it comes out.
